Grammy-Award Winning Vince Giordano’s Traditional Jazz Ensemble to Perform Live During Roaring 20’s Lawn Party at Weston History and Culture Center

WESTON, CT – Grammy-award winning Vince Giordano’s Traditional Jazz Ensemble will transport you back to the 1920’s during the Roaring 20’s Lawn Party at the Weston History and Culture Center ( Weston Historical Society) on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Enjoy an afternoon of Jazz Age music featuring the original arrangements of jazz age classics. Additional musical guests include Jerron Paxton and Miss Maybell and the Jazz Age Artistes. This outdoor event takes place at 104 Weston Road Weston, CT. Parking is accessed from High Acre Road. Tickets can be purchased at www.westonhistoricalsociety.org. VIP Ticket(includes padded chair): $60.00; Member lawn seating(please bring a lawn chair): $30.00; Non-Member lawn seating(please bring a lawn chair): $40.00. Advanced tickets are encouraged but tickets will be available at the door. Please pack a picnic lunch to enjoy! Snacks, drinks and alcohol will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 26, 2021 2pm – 6pm.

Grammy-winner, New York native and multi-instrumentalist Vince Giordano has played in New York nightclubs, appeared in films such as The Cotton Club, The Aviator, Finding Forrester, Revolutionary Road, Cafe Society, HBOs Boardwalk Empire and for concerts at the Town Hall, Jazz At Lincoln Center, the Newport Jazz Festival and the 92nd St Y for the past four decades. Recording projects include soundtracks for the award-winning Boardwalk Empire with vocalists like Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, St. Vincent, Regina Spektor, Neko Case, Leon Redbone, Liza Minnelli, Catherine Russell, Rufus Wainwright and David Johansen. Jerron Paxton is a musician who specializes in Black Folk music in both urban and rural form. He tours the world most of the year as one of the few soloists of African American roots music. Miss Maybell and the Jazz Age Artistes share a groove that is truly timeless. Judkins is an exciting young ragtime jazz pianist who has made numerous festival appearances. Miss Maybell (Lauren Sansaricq) also leads Miss Maybell and The Jazz Age. Charlie Judkins, a lifelong Brooklyn native is a practitioner of Ragtime, Traditional Jazz and Blues piano. He began playing piano in 1997 at age six. In 2007, he was introduced to the music of Jelly Roll Morton and immediately began studying traditional ragtime and blues piano.
